Blue Sky Building & Design was started in 1996 by Eric Olsen under the name of Olsen Construction. Eric spent an additional 10 years working in all aspects of construction before starting his own company. Eric attended the University of Kentucky as an architectural student. He has worked extensively as a framer, general carpenter, a detail finish carpenter, painter and a designer. Eric is an extremely creative person who applies himself personally to every project. He has the unique ability to follow a construction project from the drafting board to reality. Eric is a licensed and fully insured builder in the State of Michigan. License number: 2101125390 We are committed to quality. To ensure the quality standards we contract with highly skilled carpenters and subcontractors. We work throughout the Grand Traverse region, including Leelanau County and Torch. For the last several years we have been building steadily in the "new Neighborhood" in Empire Michigan.
